ST. IGNATIUS — The unofficial results for the Mission Irrigation recall election were released on April 15.
Voters cast their ballots to recall both Jerry Johnson and M. Paul Wadsworth.
Jerry Johnson received 5,479 votes for his recall and 4,807 against his recall; Paul Wadsworth received 5,676 votes for his recall and 4,584 votes against his recall.
Each irrigation district member receives one vote for each acre or partial acre of land, so someone with 400 acres would receive 400 votes.
The official canvass for the election was held on Monday, April 21 at 1:30 p.m., according to Caroline Hanke, Lake County election clerk. After the election was canvassed, the recall took effect.
