POLSON — On Dec. 12, 13, and 14 forget dinner and a movie. The students of Mission Valley Christian Academy will present live dinner theater on those nights.
Since October, high school and junior high students have been memorizing the lines of one of literature’s most famous dramas, “Romeo and Juliet.” An impressive set painted onto the school’s walls and striking period costumes will make guests of the academy’s second annual dinner theater feel like they are visiting medieval Verona.
“(For) some of our principal players, this is their first play, so they’ve made huge leaps and bounds,” drama teacher Teresa Bauer said. “It’s amazing what they’ve learned to do in just two months of acting.”
Bauer expects a decent crowd for the shows, but seating is limited to 60 per night, so grab tickets now.
Prices are $35 for an individual or $150 per family. Dinner will include chicken with Alfredo sauce, mashed potatoes, salad, and cheesecake.
“I think it will be a lot of fun and I hope people will really enjoy it,” Brynn Slack, actor and media coordinator for the show said.
