DEER LODGE — The girls of the Mission-Arlee-Charlo softball team started their season with a bang, shutting down Deer Lodge on the road March 28.
Pitcher Loren Erickson led her team to a 15-8 win over the Lady Wardens, throwing four strikeouts and no walks in seven innings, while batting 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Emyli Gillingham went 2-3 with two RBIs, and Emilie Charlo was 2-4 with two RBIs.
Catcher Alyssa Doty went 2-3 and added an RBI; Jordyn Eichert was 2-4 with a double; Sara Nerby and Trinda Foust were each 1-4 with an RBI plus a double for Nerby. Courtney Charlo went 1-2 with an RBI, and Sahriha Camacho 1-5 with an RBI.
Mission-Arlee-Charlo played Ronan in Ronan Tuesday, and will host Thompson Falls at noon Saturday.
