ST. IGNATIUS - With summer here and warmer weather, it is important to stay well hydrated. Having a glass or water bottle of water or tea and taking a sip (or gulp) whenever you think about it can help one to stay hydrated. Flavored infused water is a good way to encourage one to drink more. Cucumber/Mint - Thinly slice 1 whole cucumber one-half cup of mint to a pitcher and fill with water. Refrigerate. Strawberry/Lime – Thinly slice 2 limes and 3 cups of strawberries and juice of one lime to a pitcher, fill with water and refrigerate. Watermelon/Basil –Add 2 cups of chopped watermelon and one- half cup of roughly chopped fresh basil leaves to a pitcher, fill with water and refrigerate. The flavor becomes stronger as they steep in the fridge. These are just a few ideas; let your creativity go wild and try other fresh/frozen fruit, citrus and herb combinations. The ideas are endless.
