Ronan track squads do well at Frenchtown

The Ronan track team had a big week as the team traveled to both Frenchtown and Missoula.
At Frenchtown, Jordan Franklin had an impressive day as he placed first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.5, while Eric Malmquist placed second with a time of 11.6.
In the 200 meter dash, Malmquist placed second, with a time of 24.1, and finished first in the 400, finishing with a time of 53.3 seconds. Alex Almondadi finished the 400 in third place, with a time of 56.3.
Marcus Hungerford had an impressive run as he finished first in the 800, with a time of 2:07.5.
Dayton Alexander finished fourth in the 1600, with a time of 5:02.8, while Peyton Alexander finished second in the 3200, with a time of 11:04.9.
In the 300 hurdles, Connor Benn finished fourth after he finished with a time of 51.6.
Meanwhile, in the 1600 relay, Ronan had a good showing as they took first place with a time of 3:41.9.
Riley Dennis took second in the javelin, after throwing 131-3.
The team took first and fourth in the high jump, as Franklin took first with a height of 6’4”, and Hungerford took fourth, jumping 5’8”.
Jalen Bell had a good showing at the meet, as he took second in the long jump with a distance of 19-10 1/2, along with taking first in the triple jump, as he finished with a distance of 41-1 ½. Bell also placed second in the pole vault, with a height of 9’ flat. Ethan Schumacher also placed in the pole vault, taking 5th with a height of 7’6”.
As for the Ronan girls’ team, Alyssa Durglo finished second in the 100 meter dash, finishing with a time of 13.7, while teammate Tianna Howell finished fourth with a time of 14 seconds flat. The team finished strong in the 200 meter dash. Durglo took second in the 200 meter dash, after she finished the race with a time of 28.1, while Howell finished in third place with a time of 29.4. Luglan Mitchell took fourth with a time of 30 seconds flat.
In the 400 meter dash, Mora Sokup took second with a time of 69.3, while Victoria Krenshaw finished third with a time of 78.6 seconds.
The Maidens 800 runners finished the day off well, as Courtney Clairmont took first with a time of 2:41.9, Mitchell took fourth with a time of 2.52.9, and Soukup finished in fifth place with the time of 3.01.3.
Clairmont also took first in the 1,600 after finishing with a time of six minutes flat. Jade Grey took third with a time of 6.12.6.
In the 100 meter hurdles, Stephanie Lewandowski took second with a time of 17.8 seconds and Mariah Cheff took third with a time of 19.5 seconds. Rachel Herdy finished the even in fifth place with a time of 20.1 seconds.
Lewandowski took first in the 300-meter hurdles after finishing with a time of 54.6 seconds.
The Maidens took second in the 400-meter relay with a time of 54.8 seconds. In the 1,600-meter relay, the team took third with a time of 4:42.5.
Jenny Corrsoon took first in the javelin with a distance of 98 feet, 10 inches and Mitchell took fourth after throwing 91 feet, eight inches.
Twyla Hogge took fifth in the shot put as her best throw was 26 feet, one inch.
In high jump action, Durglo finished second with a height of 4 feet, 10 inches while Larson finished fourth with a height of four feet, eight inches and Lewandowski finished fifth at the same height.
In the long jump, Lewandowski continued to have her day as she took fourth with a distance of 14 feet, 1/2 inch while Cheff took third in the triple jump, finishing with a distance of 28 feet, six inches. .
Sarah Lucier finished fourth in the pole vault, jumping six feet.
At the Missoula invitational on Saturday, the Ronan-St. Ignatius boys’ finished 12th with a score of 25 points.
Franklin took seventh in the 200-meter race, with a time of 23:23.9. Hungerford took seventh in the 800-meter race, when he finished with the time 2:05.78.
In the 400-meter relay, the Chiefs took eigth place, with a time of 45.84 seconds.
Franklin took fourth in the high jump, after jumping six feet, while Bell finished eighth with a distance of 19 feet, six inches. Bell also took third in the triple jump after jumping 41 feet, eight inches.
The Maidens finished the day in 12th place with a score of 15.
In shot put, Hogge took eighth with a distance of 30 feet, six inches while Durglo took third in the high jump with a height of five feet, two inches.. Durglo took second in the triple jump with a distance of 34 feet, 10 inches..
Ronan will host their next meet at the Ronan middle school at noon Thursday.
