Bulldogs Basketball Camps for two age groups held

ST. IGNATIUS — The St. Ignatius Bulldogs will hold Basketball Camps from June 26-30 at the St. Ignatius School gymnasium. Lil Guy Basketball Camp for students entering grades 1-4 will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Boys entering grades 5-8 may participate in Basketball Camp from 12:30-5 p.m. Students will need appropriate exercise clothes, a pair of basketball shoes and a water bottle. Participants will learn offensive fundamentals: shooting, dribbling, passing and guard/post moves; defensive fundamentals: rebounding, footwork, communication; and team fundamentals: ball movement, screening. There will be individual free throw contests and 3-point contests with awards given to winners. The camps will be coached by St. Ignatius Head Coach August McDonald and assistant Coach Derek Azure along with St. Ignatius High School basketball players. Registration costs $35 for Boys Basketball Camp and $30 for Lil Guys Basketball Camp and may be done the first session of camp. For additional information call 406-552-9514.
