In class B dual action on Thursday, the Chiefs and Bigfork boys battled to a two-all tie while the Maidens fell to Bigfork 2-1. Chief Bailey Moss defeated Bigfork’s Colton Reichenbach in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 and Breanna Turpin prevailed over her Bigfork opponent, 6-1, 3-6, 10-6 for the Maidens’ lone victory.
On Saturday, the Chiefs defeated Mission-Arlee-Charlo (MAC) 3-1 but fell to Valley Christian 3-1 and Bigfork 3-2. The Maidens split 2-2 with MAC and lost 2-1 to Valley Christian and 3-0 to Bigfork.
The Polson boys and girls tennis teams traveled to the Bitterroot on Friday to take on Hamilton and Corvallis. Polson swept Hamilton with the boys winning 5-2 and the girls 7-0; however, both boys and girls fell to Corvallis by the score of 4-3.
Polson’s top girl singles player Cassie Carlyle went undefeated on the road, 6-1, 6-2 in Hamilton and 6-0, 6-2 in Corvallis.
