ST.IGNATIUS — Samantha Walker from the Area VI Agency on Aging will be in the St. Ignatius Senior Citizen Center to consult with seniors about possible changes in their drug plans on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The Medicare open enrollment period is under way. Stop by at the center or call for an appointment with Walker.
AARP will present a driving course especially for seniors in the center on Friday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The charge for the course is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. The class includes a workbook. Insurers give rate reductions to those who take the course. Stop by or call to sign up for the lesson.
The Thursday Quilters have made scarecrow heads as a fundraiser for the center. They are hanging on a wall in the center. People can vote for their favorite scarecrow by putting money in envelopes below them. The voting will end and the winner will be announced on Oct. 30.
The activities at the center for the rest of October are listed below. —— Bingo is played after almost every lunch.
— Lunches begin at noon.
— Dinners begin at 5:30 p.m.
— Quilters quilt in the center on Mondays and Thursdays.
— Lunches may be delivered to qualified seniors.

— Friday, Oct. 23: soup and sandwiches lunch
— Tuesday, Oct. 27: meatloaf lunch
— Friday, Oct. 30: goulash lunch

— Wednesday, Nov. 4: dinner, 5:30 p.m.
— Friday, Nov. 6: AARP driving course.
