17-year-old dies in early morning crash

ARLEE — A 17-year-old boy from Arlee was killed Dec. 15 and his 19-year-old male passenger injured during an early morning single-vehicle wreck on Theresa Adams Lane. According to a Montana Highway Patrol crash report, the crash occurred at 2:44 a.m. when the driver failed to negotiate a lefthand curve on a rural road. The vehicle went off a steep embankment, went airborne and came to rest on its roof. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead upon arrival of emergency responders.
