Arlee resident named to Dean College’s Spring 2025 Semester Dean’s List

FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTES - Dean College is pleased to announce that Elaina Baldwin of Arlee has earned a place on the Dean’s List for the spring 2025 semester. Students named to the Dean’s List have demonstrated a serious commitment to their studies while at Dean College. 

Founded in 1865, Dean College is a private, residential college located in Franklin Massachusetts, 45 minutes from Boston, Massachusetts, and Providence, Rhode Island. 

 

Good Old Days celebration begins early this year

ST. IGNATIUS - Good Old Days celebration in St. Ignatius this year is a week earlier than normal. It will take place July 11-13, starting with the barbecue on the evening of Friday, July 11. The evening will include live music and a fireworks show. 

Saturday, July 12, starts off with the annual Buffalo Run, the Big Parade happens at noon, and events in the park go on all day. 

Movie night will take place at the amphitheater and will close out the night. 

On Sunday, July 13, the annual Fly-In takes place at the St. Ignatius Airport complete with the annual  pancake breakfast. 

Back at the Good Old Days Park, there will be a lot of food and craft vendors at as well as big toys for the kids.

 

Join the Polson Minutemen, Redcoat skirmish

News from Polson VFW & Raven Hall MRC

POLSON - The Polson VFW along with Raven Hall MRC will once again host a patriotic skirmish against the British Redcoats before the 4th of July Parade. This will be the fourth time for this event and we want you to join us. This is well narrated and worth seeing minutes before the parade starts.  

Volunteers are needed and will receive a Polson Minuteman T-shirt. Adults willing to participate on the side of the British should be at the VFW, 423 Main St. at 10 a.m. on July 4th. Adults and children willing to join the Minutemen should be at the VFW at 11a.m.  

The Redcoats will begin walking at 11:50 a.m. and the battle will conclude at noon in front of the VFW.  

 

FVCC announces Spring 2025 Dean’s List

KALISPELL - Flathead Valley Community College officials have announced the names of students who made the Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester. The following students are listed in alphabetical order by their home communities and completed at least 12 credits last semester in courses numbered 100 or above and earned a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5: 

Charlo: Bennan P. Andersen, Wesley S. Anderson 

Polson: Guadalupe Conboy, Michael P. Cullen, Kevin L. Kelley, Layne Zimmerman
