ST. IGNATIUS - Farmer’s Markets will be open this month. Take advantage of the fresh fruits, vegetables, and other items they offer. There is a program for seniors called Seniors’ Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) where seniors can receive $48 in coupons to go towards the purchase of fresh fruits, vegetables and raw honey sold in Montana at participating Farmer’s Markets. It is for seniors who fall within USDA income poverty level guidelines. For example, a single person with a monthly income of $2413 or less would be eligible. Coupons can be used from June 1 through Oct. 31. Applications are available in June. For more information and questions, contact Area VI Council on Aging at 406-883-7284.
Activities:
- On Saturday, May 10, play bingo with us. Also, on this day there will be a Mothers Day bake sale from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- On Tuesday, May 27, you can receive foot Care by Mandy Jo for $30. Call the Center at 406-745-4462 to schedule an appointment.
Menu:
- Friday, May 9: fish, mac-n-cheese broccoli, mixed fruit, wheat bread, strawberry/oatmeal bars
- Tuesday, May 13: stew, fry bread, apple slices, banana cookies
- Friday, May 16: chicken, corn, baked potato, biscuit, applesauce, no bake cookies
If you would like a takeout meal, call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays and by 2 p.m. on Wednesdays. Mealtimes are listed with the menu. Menus for the month are available in the entryway of the center. Everyone is welcome at our meals, both young and old. Come enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation.

Gentle Yoga is held on Wednesdays from 1-2:15 p.m. If you are interested, call Bonnie Kiser at 406-253-0177. Her rate is 5 sessions for $65.
