HELENA — Mission harrier Paden Alexander took second at the state Class B cross-country meet last weekend in Helena. The senior Bulldog finished in 16:43; his best time of the season was 15:19, which he ran Sept. 15 at the Ronan Invitational meet.
“This isn’t Paden’s best time, but I’m still proud of him for getting second place,” coach Marc Cutler said. “He worked so hard this season, and I wish him nothing but the best for his future endeavors.”
Mission took seven males (with one alternate because there can only be seven athletes on a team) and four females to the state meet, where Lindsay Johnson ran her season best time of 25:22.
“It’s been a great season, and I look forward to next season,” Cutler said.
