ST. IGNATIUS — A steady drizzle of rain on Saturday evening couldn’t washout the return of the annual Parade of Lights to the streets of St. Ignatius.
Parade-goers kept dry by huddling inside doorways or underneath awnings of local businesses, while others simply watched the holiday merriment from the warmth of their vehicles.
A little more than a dozen illuminated floats and emergency vehicles brought candy to the parade route as well as Christmas music sung by drenched float riding carolers.
Earlier in the day, the St. Ignatius Chamber of Commerce hosted a kid’s Christmas Carnival at the elementary school’s multipurpose room which included games, a cake walk, face painting and a visit from Santa Claus.
