$22.2M more in ARPA funds for MT cities, towns

HELENA — Governor Greg Gianforte announced the disbursement of nearly $22.2 million in federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to 42 cities and towns across the state.
“These ARPA funds will provide 64 additional towns and cities with the authority to address their individual needs, from supporting those impacted by the pandemic to investing in their infrastructure needs,” Gov. Greg Gianforte said.
Local cities and towns that will receive funding amounts based on criteria outlined by the U.S. Department of Treasury: Plains: $145,472.69; Ronan: $270,254.80; St. Ignatius: $105,751.88; Polson: $646,261.49.
Library drive supports animal shelter

POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library is pleased to conduct a supply drive to support the Mission Valley Animal Shelter. They can use: pet food, dog toys, cat trees, cat toys, swimming pools for dogs and milk replacement for kittens and puppies. Thank you for your help and support. We will collect items through Aug. 5.
Live Mother Goose has returned. Join us Mondays at 9:15 a.m. The doors open at 9 a.m. Mother Goose is an interactive program for babies, toddlers and their caregivers that will include nursery rhymes and stories. Come in to play with your child and learn new action rhymes to do at home.
The library meeting room is available for public use again. Restrictions apply, including a limit of 15 people with social distancing, no communal food or beverage, and availability is during business hours only.
The library will be closed Monday, July 5, for Independence day. We will reopen Tuesday, July 6, at 9 a.m.
MT producers reminded to file crop acreage reports

BOZEMAN — Agricultural producers in Montana who have not yet completed their crop acreage reports after planting should make an appointment with their U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency office before the applicable deadline.
