ST. IGNATIUS — Our soft opening last Wednesday made for a fun evening. Attendance was good and we followed the social distancing rules, while enjoying our meals and playing bingo. As it stands, we have scheduled Oct. 14 as an in-house evening meal.
Missy McLoughlin, our fabulous cook, will be gone for two weeks starting next Tuesday. Our assistant cook, Rose Mansell, will do a wonderful job preparing our meals and we have our helpful kitchen angel, Kay Kelly, to support Rose.
Our meals will be:
— Tuesday, Sept. 29: sandwich, soup, green salad, fruit, cook’s choice
— Friday, Oct. 2: macaroni & cheese, steamed broccoli, fruit, brownies
— Tuesday, Oct. 6: lasagna with beef, sautéed zucchini, apple cobbler
Don’t forget our yard sale and bake sale at the St. Ignatius Senior Center on Oct. 2 and 3, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. These events will take place outdoors if the weather is good and indoors with social distancing, of course, in the case of rain.
Have a great week.
