ST. IGNATIUS – With a heavy heart, the St. Ignatius Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel this year’s 38th Annual Good Old Days.
“Please understand that this was a very hard decision, knowing that we, as a community, love to get together and celebrate our town with events that are fun for everyone,” organizers noted. “We have to respect our community, our county and our state to keep us safe.”
Hundreds, if not thousands, come to celebrate the community and that includes those who do not live within the county and state limits. “We cannot risk putting any of our wonderful people at risk and choose not to. Please do understand that this is not an easy decision for our group, but we know deep in our hearts it is the right decision even at two months out.”
The group is working on other possible events. “When we can safely make those events happen we will be happy to inform you,” chamber organizers said. “But for now, please continue keeping a social distance and stay home as much as you can. Thank you to all of our essential workers who are working very hard to serve our community. Stay safe and healthy because you are important to us.”
