Leon Hall potluck
cancelled

ST. IGNATIUS — Leon Hall monthly potluck for April 8 has been cancelled. Hope to see everyone on May 13 when we have a presentation by Prof. Dean Nicolai on Sami people and their culture compared to the Salish Culture.

Horsemen stay home

RONAN — Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will not be holding their next monthly meeting in April due to the Covid-19 and CDC guidelines for social distancing and  gatherings.

Stay at home unless absolutely necessary and be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Stay safe.

Country Jam, dances
cancelled

POLSON — Our Classic Country Jammin’ scheduled for April 5, at the Elks Ballroom in Polson is cancelled until further notice. Wednesday night dances at the Elks’ ballroom in Polson are also cancelled until further notice. We pray that everyone is staying home and being safe.  We do have to go out for essentials and that is okay. Lake City Bakery, McDonalds and Burgerville are open in Polson for take outs. We are all in this together and need to help each other wherever we can, physically or financially. Please encourage one another and we will all get through this. Don’t be prideful and not ask for help, if you really need it. This hardship we are going through may take a little time but if we all work together and for each other, it will pass. We hope to see you all again very soon.

FSA services available by phone appointment only

BOZEMAN — Montana FSA has made changes to farm loan, disaster, conservation and safety net programs to make it easier for customers to conduct business. USDA’s Farm Service Agency county offices are open in Montana by phone appointment only until further notice, and FSA staff are available to continue helping agricultural producers with program signups, loan servicing and other important actions. Additionally, FSA is relaxing the loan-making process and adding flexibilities for servicing direct and guaranteed loans to provide credit to producers in need.

Spring Mack Days event postponed

News from CSKT

FLATHEAD LAKE — Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Spring Mack Days event has been postponed until further notice.

This decision was made by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Council in support of Governor Steve Bullock’s stay-at-home order. The governor’s order went into effect on Saturday, March 28.

The CSKT Tribal Fisheries Program and CSKT’s Tribal Council will evaluate the situation by April 10 when the governor could lift the order.

Anglers who have signed up for the program are asked to check their emails frequently. For further information and updates, please visit the Mack Days website at www.mackdays.com.
