Two events commemorate, support Rollins Club

ROLLINS — To commemorate their over-75 years as a  community service organization, the Women of Rollins Club is hosting a reunion honoring past members, honorary members, current and prospective members on Tuesday, June 11, at noon, at the Rollins School house on Methodist Camp Road. A luncheon will be served, there will be a door prize and you can expect great fellowship.

The Rollins School house was built in 1912 and used as a school until 1979. Today the Women of Rollins Club uses it for meetings, quilting, community sewing projects, and for the sewing of an annual quilt, which is raffled for scholarships and maintenance of the historic school house.

An annual fundraising garage sale/bake sale will be held on Saturday, July 27, as the Women of Rollins Club is now the sole financial supporter of this historic building.

Sister Sallie opens to great donations, volunteers

RONAN — Sister Sallie’s Thrift Store (at the Old Creamery Mall on Highway 93) is off to an amazing start. So many great donations have been made and wonderful volunteers have come forward. Over this summer our hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

We have four and eight-hour shifts available for volunteers who can assist with stocking, receiving, sales and a general good time. To find out about volunteering call Ardis at 406-676-0095 or 406-261-0826 or email: ardis@safeharbormt.org. Proceeds from Sister Sallie’s Thrift Store support Safe Harbor, an emergency shelter, crisis intervention and advocacy service center.
