Beneath the freshly hung 2016-17 Class C state championship banner, the Arlee Warriors took care of business on their home court Jan. 2 by defeating Class B Mission Bulldogs 84-39.
Greg Whitesell poured in 20 points for the Warriors to lead all scorers. Will Mesteth added 18 points, Lane Johnson had 15 points and Phillip Malatare chipped in 14 points for Arlee.
Jedi Christy had a team-best 14 points for the Bulldogs. Jacob Hugs added 11 points while Wacey McClure brought in 10.

Arlee continued its recent hot streak with a 70-19 home win over Noxon on Saturday evening.
Greg Whitesell led the way for Arlee with a game-high 15 points, while Will Mesteth (14), Phillip Malatare (13), Lane Johnson (12) and Isaac Fisher (10) all scored in the double digits.

Mission Lady Bulldogs 39
Alyssia Vanderburg posted a double-double Jan. 2 as the Arlee Scarlets improved to 5-2 on the season.
Vanderburg led the Scarlets with 21 points and 15 rebounds in the 58-39 home win over the Mission Lady Bulldogs.
Karolyna Buck scored a team-high 10 points for the Lady Bulldogs.
Noxon Lady Red Devils 37,

The Scarlets pushed Noxon into overtime Saturday night, but the Lady Red Devils came away with a 37-35 road victory.
Emily Fiddler scored a team-high 11 points for the Scarlets.

On Thursday, the Lady Eagles fell 61-7 to the hosting Clark Fork Lady Mountain Cats. The Lady Mountain Cats led 51-0 at halftime and 56-4 after three quarters.
Ce’Alana Shepard led the Lady Eagles with three points, while Alexia Parizeau and Justina BigBeaver added two points apiece.

Two Eagle River suffered its seventh loss of the season Saturday night, falling 61-9 to hosting St. Regis.
Justina Big Beaver led all Lady Eagle scorers with four points.

Clark Fork Mountain Cats 36
The Two Eagle River Eagles took full advantage the holiday break on Thursday evening as the rested Eagles defeated the Clark Fork Mountain Cats 48-36.
Brendan McDonald scored a game-high 17 points and Coree Caudieux added 12 points for the Eagles, who outscored Mountain Cats 12-8 in the fourth quarter to seal the road win.

The Eagles cruised to a 51-26 road win Saturday over St. Regis for their third straight victory.
Brandon Lurios scored 19 to lead the Eagles, who were up 28-11 at halftime and 41-19 after three quarters.

Whitefish Lady Bulldogs 33
The Ronan Maidens had little trouble putting away the Whitefish Lady Bulldogs on Jan. 2, as the Maidens cruised to a 55-33 home win over the Lady Bulldogs.
For the Maidens, Micalann McCrea scored a game-high 22 points, including six rebounds, two steals and four assists while Jaelynn Askan and Louetta Conko Camel scored 11 points apiece.

Whitefish Bulldogs 47
Ronan erased a halftime deficit Jan. 2 at Whitefish then held on for the 56-47 road win.
The Chiefs trailed 24-16 at the break and 39-36 at the end of the third before claiming a fourth quarter lead, where they outscored the Bulldogs 20-8.
Zeke Misa led the Chiefs with a game-high 18 points and Dallas Durheim added 13 points.

Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks 28
On Friday evening, Charlo outscored Seeley-Swan 20-8 in the second half to overcome a 20-16 halftime deficit. The Lady Blackhawks had a 11-5 lead after the first quarter, but the Lady Vikings dominated the second half of play, outscoring Seeley-Swan 14-6 in the fourth quarter to take the home win.
Kaitlin Cox netted a game-high 17 points for the Lady Vikings.

Charlo outscored visiting Seeley-Swan 41-24 in the second half Friday evening to cruise to a 65-49 victory.
The Vikings, who trailed 25-24 at halftime, were led by Tyson Petticrew’s game-high 22 points. Landers Smith added 17 points and Toby Odom scored 10 points for the Vikings.

Loyola Rams edged hosting Mission Bulldogs 74-68 on Friday evening.
Mission had three players in double-figure scoring. Jacob Hugs led the group with 23 points, Wacey McClure had 16 points and Matt Anderson chipped in 12 points.
