Arlee’s Malatare doubles up on triple-doubles

Arlee

ARLEE – The Warriors had three players score in the double figures and Phillip Malatare nearly posted a quadruple-double as Arlee routed Seeley-Swan 94-41.

Malatare scored 35 points, pulled down 10 rebounds dished out 12 assists and grabbed nine steals in front of the home crowd Thursday night.

Tyler Tanner scored 25 points and Alex Moran added 10 more for the Warriors. On Saturday, Malatare booked his second triple-double of the week with 13 assists, 11 steals and 18 points.

Will Mesteth led the Warriors with 25 points and Greg Whitesell had 17 points in the 85-35 home victory over Noxon.

The Warriors will host Two Eagle River on Friday and visit Charlo on Saturday.

RONAN – The Chiefs led 41-37 after three quarters and used a 17-10 fourth quarter to escape from the visiting Wardens 58-47 on Jan. 3.

Ezekiel Misa scored 13 points to lead the break-out for the Chiefs.

Anthony Camel scored a game-high 15 points as the Chiefs defeated the hosting Trojans 61-20 on Saturday night.

The Anaconda Copperheads will host the Chiefs on Thursday.

SEELEY LAKE – On Saturday, Nate Delaney and Brady Fryberger led the Vikings with eight points apiece but fell 59-26 to the hosting Black Hawks.

Hot Springs will host the Vikings on Thursday. On Saturday, the Vikings will host Arlee followed by St. Regis on Jan. 17.

Mission

ST. IGNATIUS – The Bulldogs (0-7) remain winless on the season after falling to the visiting Loyola Rams 84-62 on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

On Thursday night, the Bulldogs lost on the road to the Anaconda Copperheads 83-59.

The Bulldogs will be looking to capture their first District 6-B victory when they host the Troy Trojans on Saturday.

Two Eagle River

ST. REGIS – The hosting Tigers broke out with a 35-8 half time lead and never looked back as the Eagles dropped a Western 14-C game 72-51.

Isaiah Mathias scored a game-high 15 points and Chasen Curley scored 14 in a 59-36 home court victory over Superior on Saturday evening.

Polson

POLSON-Tanner Wilson paced the Pirates with 19 points and J’von Johnson added 16 more in a 58-44 victory over the visiting Yellowjackets on Thursday night.

The Pirates evened up their season record 4-4 on Saturday by beating Columbia Falls 74-62.

Pirates’ Jaden Bautista led the way with 19 points followed by Jeremiah North Peigan’s 17 and Tanner Wilson and Matthew Rensvold chipped in 15 points apiece.
