Motorcycle wreck claims 1 life

ST. IGNATIUS — One person died in a motorcycle crash near the intersection of Repass Trail and Hillside Road in St. Ignatius last week.
Montana Highway Patrol Sergeant Rich Salois said it is unknown when the one-vehicle crash occurred. Emergency officials responded at 1:11 p.m. on Friday, July 24 to find a single motorcycle that appeared to have failed to negotiate a curve and exited the roadway on the right side.
It is unknown what caused the crash. Authorities are still investigating. The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet.
The victim was Scott Yeats Fitzgerald, 57, of St. Ignatius.
