ST. IGNATIUS — Attorney Lawrence Kogan will be the keynote speaker on upcoming congressional action regarding the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Water Compact. He and other authorities will appear Tuesday, Aug.11, from 6-9 p.m. at the Altitude Bar in St. Ignatius, Montana. A no-host bar will be available at 6 p.m. and Kogan will speak at 7 p.m.
Kogan will address provisions embedded within this compact which would allow federal land acquisition, converting private property to public lands to be managed under environmentally restricted and governmentally controlled use. He views congressional ratification of this water compact as the end game of federal and tribal agendas.
Kogan is internationally recognized as a property rights advocate.
This event is being sponsored by Robert T. Fanning’s newly formed organization, Regulatory Lawfare Relief.
Also participating in the discussion will be others concerned with the water compact’s ratification, which includes Montana State Representative, Matthew Monforton, Atty., and Elaine Willman, a nationally renowned federal Indian affairs expert, author as well as board member for Citizens Equal Rights Alliance.
