ST. IGNATIUS – Lady Bulldog Irene Lopez put up some big numbers scoring 36 between Mission’s two hardwood bouts over the last week of play, yet it wasn’t enough to keep the Lady Bulldogs afloat as Mission struggled to post much more.
At home Thursday, the Lady Bulldogs managed to match Deer Lodge’s 15 in the third quarter but fell behind in the other three, tumbling to the Lady Wardens 36-56.
Lopez led with 14 netted points in the contest. Emilie Charlo chipped in 9.
Friday at Charlo, Lopez scored 22 of the Lady Bulldogs 24 points herself, launching a steadied attack against Charlo but the Lady Bulldogs fell short in the end, going home with the 24-54 loss.
Jordyn Eichert added the other two points.
The Lady Bulldogs will hit the road to Florence Jan. 3 and then on to Bigfork Jan.6
