POLSON — June 14 is Flag Day.  Not tree flags, snake flags, rainbow flags or vulgar flags. Just the United States Flag.

Friday, June 16: Father’s Day - Do not buy him a tie.

Monday - June 19: Juneteenth - It is a national holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the United States.

Tuesday, June 20: Summer Solstice - The longest day of sun light in the year; about 16 hours long where we live. Way North, in the Arctic, the sun never sets. From now until December, the hours of daylight will decline. This summer could be a long, dry, fiery season from what I’ve been told. I hope they are fibbing me.
