Heiner finishes third at state cross country Heiner finishes third at state cross country

By Rob Zolman / Valley Journal    KALISPELL — Ronan Chief Brant Heiner finished his prep cross country career with a third-place finish and all-state accolades at the State A cross country championships at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell on Friday. Heiner crossed the finish line with a time of 16:46.80, helping the Chiefs finish fifth in the overall team standings. Teammate Michael Irvine also earned all-state honors with his 15th- place finish. Mason Sloan nabbed Class A all-state honors and a 12th-place finish for the Polson Pirates with a time of 16:59.48.
