Editor, Two years ago, the Polson Beautification Committee was discussing potential new projects. It was decided that more flowers on the island at the intersection of Highways 35 and 93 would be a colorful welcome for visitors and community members driving by. Last year, with community donations and lots of planning and help by Wes and Twila Delaney, the irrigation system was updated and the flowers were put in place. Bark chips had already been donated by Gwen and Rod McRae. We have received lots of positive community feedback that the flowers did their job of making the intersection a happier spot and would like to do it again.
