RONAN — Human remains were found at the base of the Mission Mountains in an area southeast of Ronan on the morning of Tuesday, March 30. Lake County Sheriff Don Bell said a report came in to Lake County 911 that a person who was not identified to the public had found what appeared to be human remains. Bell said deputies responded to the call and located a decomposed human body 75 yards east of the irrigation canal, which parallels the mountains. “Detectives processed the scene and secured the body for transport to the state crime lab,” Bell said.
