87th Annual Cherry Growers’ meeting held
YELLOW BAY - The 87th Annual Cherry Growers’ meeting, presented by the Flathead Lake Cherry Growers Association, will be held on Saturday, April 5, at the Yellow Bay Community Clubhouse, 23429 MT Hwy 35. The meeting is open to anyone interested in growing quality Flathead cherries. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.; the meeting begins at 9 a.m.
Advance registration is recommended.General admission is $30 per person and includes morning refreshments and lunch. Join the Buttercup Run
JOCKO VALLEY - The annual Buttercup Run takes place on Saturday, April 5, beginning at 10 a.m. The 1 mile, 5K and 10K event is free to participants 5 years and under, $10 for 6-17 year old, and $20 for those 18 years and up. The cost is $50 for families with three or more participants.

Ninepipes Museum holds open house
NINEPIPES - A Spring Community Open House is on tap at Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Come join the celebration, with free entry to the museum. Live music will be provided by “Saint of Soldiers” from 1 to 3 p.m., a book chat will take place with Bob Bigart and Bud Cheff and other history buffs from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be a volunteer and membership drive as well a sale on selected items in the gift shop. Refreshments will be served.

POLSON - The North Lake County Public Library will present an introduction to the library’s Dementia Friendly Programming on April 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room.
There will be a demonstration of the new Lucynt Magic Table, show n’ tell of new resources that support the aging journey, comraderie and snacks.

MT Co-Lab for Civic Imagination brings ‘State of Mind’ to Polson
POLSON - The University of Montana’s Co-Lab for Civic Imagination brings its exciting theatre program, State of Mind, to Polson on April 9.
State of Mind is a unique and engaging theatre and public dialogue event that is touring to over twenty (primarily rural) Montana communities from Sept. 2024 to May 2026.
The project consists of a free theatre performance for the general public on April 9, at 6:30 p.m., at the Polson High School Library, with workshops taking place there earlier in the day. The workshops will inspire a portion of the performance, ensuring that Polson’s residents’ voices and ideas are a part of the performance
SKC hosts The Young Child Wellness Council
PABLO — The Young Child Wellness Council is a diverse group of representatives from across the Flathead Reservation and Lake County discussing projects and ideas that support healthy families, community wellness and a sharing of resources that create seamless services between organizations. All meetings start at noon every second Wednesday of each month in the Depoe Building on the SKC campus. Lunch is provided. All are welcome. Next meeting is April 9. Looking forward to seeing all our representatives.

Mission Valley Live presents ‘Jazz Legacy Project’
RONAN - Jazz Legacy Project will interpret the music of jazz legends Herbie Hancock and Duke Ellington transforming jazz appreciation into an exploration of American history. Tickets are available for $13 at First Interstate Bank in Polson and Ronan True Value in Ronan and $15 at the door. Youth under 18 are free.
Pachyderms to meet
POLSON - Lake County Pachyderm will meet on Friday, April 11, at noon. Guest speaker will be Montana District Judge Molly Owen. Molly will speak about the 20th Judicial Court Adult Treatment Court and the mental health crisis we are currently facing. The meeting will be held at the Polson Rural Fire Station located at 25 Regatta Road.
