Fun Buffalo Run starts early
ST. IGNATIUS — The Annual St. Ignatius Good Old Days Buffalo Run gets an early start on Saturday, July 21, with a 13.2-mile half- marathon. The event is sponsored by St. Luke Community Healthcare and not only features a half-marathon but also 1-mile fun run/walk in addition to the 4 and 7-mile runs. The half-marathon begins at 7 a.m., Saturday, July 21, while the 1, 4 and 7 mile events all begin at 8 a.m. All of the races will start on Main Street in front of the former Gambles store and will run a mostly flat course,
A $20 day of race entry fee will be accepted until 6:45 a.m. for the half-marathon and between 7 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Mission hosts fly-in
ST. IGNATIUS — In conjunction with Good Old Days in St. Ignatius, the Lake County Chapter 1122 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will be flying Young Eagles flights at St Ignatius Airport (53S) on Sunday morning, July 22, starting at 9 a.m.
All kids between the ages of 8 and 17, with their parents’ approval, can get a ride in an airplane free of charge.
Breakfast will be available from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. All of this depends on the weather cooperating.

Orders for Mission birthday calendars being taken
ST. IGNATIUS — Orders for the St. Ignatius Chamber of Commerce birthday calendars may be made at Rod’s Harvest Foods on Friday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It may be more convenient for you to bring a list with the birthdays you wish to have on it. The calendars are $8 and information for the immediate family is included. Additional names are 50 cents each. For more information you may call LaVonne Olmsted at (406) 745-3423.

Skate jam planned in Mission
ST. IGNATIUS — Skate Ignatius will host the second of three fundraising skate jams for the Montana Skatepark Association at noon on July 28. The top three skaters in each age division will qualify for the finals in Missoula, to be held Aug. 11. Entry is $10, and there are two age divisions: 16 and under and 17 and up. All proceeds go to the Montana Skatepark Association to fund the China banks expansion at the MOBASH skate park in Missoula. Jam format is five skaters in three-minute runs.
