‘Clean-Up Day’ on tap in Mission
ST. IGNATIUS — The town of St. Ignatius will have its annual “Clean-Up Day” on April 9. Those interested in participating can meet at City Hall at 9 a.m. A dumpster, provided by Republic Services, will sit in front of city hall for use by community members during the event. Register your kindergarteners
ST. IGNATIUS — Kindergarten registration will take place at St. Ignatius Elementary School on Tuesday, April 12, from 9 a.m.–noon and from 1-3 p.m. Students must be five years old by Sept. 10, 2016. Please bring with you: the student, proof of residency (copy of electric bill etc.), updated immunizations, tribal enrollment information (if this pertains to you). The student will be given a short assessment test. Paperwork will need to be filled out by the legal guardian. Call 406-745-3811 ext. 302 with your questions.

Movie ‘Paper Tigers’ shown
ST. IGNATIUS — The Mission Valley United Methodist Church will show the movie “ Paper Tigers” on Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m. at the Mission Valley United Methodist Church, 70715 Highway 93 (top of Post Creek Hill), followed by a panel discussion led by Teresa Nygaard, Director of The Parenting Place in Missoula. The film depicts the dramatic transformation in troubled teens when the staff at their school incorporates the findings from the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study into their education and support services.

Blackfoot Telephone to address Neighborhood Watch
ST. IGNATIUS — The St. Ignatius Neighborhood Watch will meet on Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at the St. Ignatius Senior Center. A representative from Blackfoot Telephone Company will make a presentation.

Take a nature walk with PAT
ST. IGNATIUS — A nature walk and learning about recycling are the topics for the April Parents as Teachers Playgroup at The Nest. Open to the public, this event includes a light lunch, activities and story time. Kids may take a book home with them.
