‘You Can’t Take it With You’ performed on two nights
RONAN — The Ronan High School Drama Department is headed right into another play. On both April 26 and 27, “You Can’t Take it With You,” will be performed at the Ronan Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Ronan Flower Mill or at the ticket office the days of the plays. All tickets are general admission and seats are $5.
This comedic play was first performed in 1936 and in 1937 won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart wrote the play. The Sycamore family, at first, seems to be mad, but it is not long before you realize that if they are mad, then the rest of the world is madder. This will be a funny, wacky play set in New York City. You will get in the spirit of this bedlam and have a grand time. Come join us.
Reacquaint yourself with ‘art of conversation’
RONAN — We are pleased to announce that the monthly community dance in Ronan at the Terrace Lake community Church will be on Friday April 26 from 6-10 p.m. Everyone that comes has a great time. The people are what make it fun and the more the merrier. There is always plenty of good food and refreshments. Of course, The Little Big Band plays the best dance music in the country.
If you have ever thought about coming out, now is the time. It is spring and it’s time to get out and shake off the winter cobwebs. Unplug from the TV, iPods and such and come visit and re-connect with your neighbors. Reacquaint yourself with the art of conversation. We need more new young people from 15 years old on up to come learn how to really dance and enjoy themselves. For more information, contact James Pettit at (406) 676-8224. Hope to see you there.
