Businesswomen to meet
RONAN — The Mission Valley sub-network of the Missoula Businesswomen’s Network will meet Thursday, Feb. 20 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lake County Community Development Building, 407 W. Main St., Ronan.
Shay Farmer, food and agriculture coordinator for Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center will talk about the importance of choosing local products.

Red Poppy opens art show
RONAN - “The Sky is the Thing,” featuring art by Juanita Small Salmon, will be presented on Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Red Poppy, from 1–4 p.m. Music will be performed by Mark and Krysti Reichman. Everyone is welcome.

‘You’ make dances fun
RONAN — The monthly dance sponsored by the Little Big Band will be on Friday, Feb. 28, from 6-10 p.m. at the VFW hall on Round Butte Road. As always, there are plenty of refreshments though you are welcome to bring your own favorite snack if you’d like. Of course what makes this all fun, is you. 4-H offers leather workshop
RONAN — Lake County 4-H is hosting a beginner’s leather craft workshop on March 1. Taught by Jamie Lake, participants will learn how to make personalized leather drink coasters and leather wallets. Participants should bring their own leather working tools and mallet as supply on hand will be limited. While there is no charge to take the class, there will be a materials fee of $5 covering the leather. Class will be held at the Lake County Extension Office in Ronan from 10 a.m. until noon. Space is limited to 10 participants. Call the Lake County Extension office at (406) 676-4271 to join.

Horsemen to review 2013
RONAN — The March meeting of the Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will be held, Tuesday, March 4, at the VFW Hall on Round Butte Road at 7:30 p.m. The program for the evening will be ‘2013 Year in Review.’ Our club has been quite active this past year, so come and see what we have been up to.
