4-H offers leather workshop
RONAN — Lake County 4-H is hosting a beginner’s leather craft workshop on March 1. Taught by Jamie Lake, participants will learn how to make personalized leather drink coasters and leather wallets. Participants should bring their own leather working tools and mallet as supply on hand will be limited. While there is no charge to take the class, there will be a materials fee of $5 covering the leather. Class will be held at the Lake County Extension Office in Ronan from 10 a.m. until noon. Space is limited to 10 participants. Call the Lake County Extension office at (406) 676-4271 to join.

Horsemen to review 2013
RONAN — The March meeting of the Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will be held, Tuesday, March 4, at the VFW Hall on Round Butte Road at 7:30 p.m. The program for the evening will be ‘2013 Year in Review.’ Our club has been quite active this past year, so come and see what we have been up to. People’s Voice sponsors yard sale
RONAN — A winter yard sale sponsored by The People’s Voice, Inc., will take place on Friday and Saturday, March 7-8, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at Crow Creek Club House, east of Ronan off old Hwy. 93. They are accepting gently used clothing of all sizes and any items you wish to donate. Also, for men, tools, sporting goods, and much more will be available. Hot soup, dinner rolls, coffee, tea and cocoa will be served at a modest price. Don’t miss out on some good deals. Everyone is welcome.

Flea Market, Craft Show to benefit Women’s Club
RONAN — The Ronan Women’s Club will host its 28th annual Flea Market and Arts & Crafts Show on Sat., March 8, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Ronan Community Center. Lunch will be available, and there will be more than 40 vendors, a silent auction, and a chocolate donation fountain, all to benefit the Boys’ and Girls’ Club, Safe Harbor and Garden of the Rockies Museum. Frank Tyro to speak to NARFE
RONAN — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at the Ronan Café at noon on Wednesday, March 12. Meals will be from the menu. Following the meal the program will feature Frank Tyro, a polar bear expert. A short business meeting will conclude the meeting.
Vendor training scheduled
RONAN— The Lake County Environmental Health Department will hold meetings regarding registration requirements for non-profit and temporary food events. The meeting will cover food safety and registration requirements for any food vendor participating in community events where food is offered. The March 12 meeting will be at 10 a.m. will be at the Ronan Community Center.
