Join adopt-a-book, adult coloring event
RONAN — Ronan Library's third annual Adopt-A-Book Event is Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 5-7 p.m. February is “I love to read month” and the library is asking community members to help us purchase quality children's books for the library. Books up for "adoption" will be on display all month at the library. On Ronan library will have an “adopt-a-book and adult coloring party.” Stop by to relax, snack, color and purchase books for yourself, your children, or the library. LCCDC hosts energy workshop
RONAN — Lake County Community Development Corporation, 407 Main Street, will host “Making Energy Work for Your Small Business or Agricultural Operation” on Wednesday, Feb. 17, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Energy costs can be among businesses’ highest variable costs. This program helps increase American energy independence.

Plaiss offers horsemen NRA class
RONAN — Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will hold their next monthly meeting on March 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW on Round Butte Rd, in Ronan.
Our program will be a 45-minute version of: The NRA’s “Refuse to be a Victim” class taught by certified instructor Tracy Plaiss. There will be time after for questions. She will talk about how to stay aware out in the backcountry or at a trailhead. She will also address suspicious phone calls and credit card use. She is an engaging speaker with tons of details that we may not have thought of before. As always, the public is invited to attend.
Ronan adult education offers active choices through March 31
RONAN — Ronan School District adult education winter session is on. The walking track and weight room at the Ronan Middle School Event Center will be open Monday-Thursday at 6 a.m.- 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. The K. William Harvey Gym will be open for the community to play basketball on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m., beginning Jan. 26 and ending March 15. The Event Center will be open for the community to play volleyball on Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m., beginning Jan. 27 and ending March 16.
