RONAN — It started small eleven years ago by Marie Cowan. Over the years, it has grown tremendously. The 11th annual Ronan Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be on Nov. 27, from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Ronan Community Center. 

Festivities for the day include entertainment and a traditional turkey dinner. Volunteers are needed to help serve, cook, buss and clean up. Turkeys, pies, and rolls, are also needed. Call Brandy Chisholm at (406) 250-8808 to donate food and Ronan Chamber at (406) 676-8300 to volunteer some time. 

Everyone is welcome to attend and the dinner is free. Donations will be gladly accepted at the door or sent to Ronan Community Volunteers, PO Box 254 Ronan, MT 59864. Come share all that is good in the world with friends and new acquaintances.

RONAN — A Thanksgiving Service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 35681 Terrace Lake Rd., Ronan. You can go to www.ronanchurch.org, for more information.

RONAN — On Saturday, Nov. 29, Kicking Horse Job Corps will hold its first annual Christmas bazaar from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Spaces for vendors are free, but vendors must provide their own tables not to exceed 6 feet long. RONAN — The eighth annual “Community Spirit Basket Fundraiser” event, sponsored by Community Bank, will take place between Nov. 3 and Dec. 11. Local businesses/ organizations from the community donate baskets of goods and raise funds for the Ronan and Polson Food Pantries. Raffle tickets will be sold at the front desk at either of the Ronan and Polson lobbies for $1 and placed in the basket of the purchaser’s choice. (Need not be present for drawing.) The drawing will take place on Thursday, Dec. 11, in conjunction with the Ronan Chamber Roundup held at Ronan Community Bank from 5–7 p.m. The basket drawing will be at 6 p.m. Call for additional details at (406) 676-4600.

RONAN-PABLO-POLSON — The Community Bank “Holiday Dollar” Program, offering 0% APR Holiday Dollar loans to qualified applicants for purchase of goods and services in Ronan, Pablo and Polson, begins on Nov. 17. Participating merchants will accept “Holiday Dollars” at face value through Dec 31, 2014. Call (406) 676-4600, for details.

RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their Christmas party/potluck on Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Terrace Lake Community Church on Terrace Lake Road in Ronan. There will be two demonstrations, one on a ‘30 Something Ruler’ by Laurie Schmitt; the other a new method for bias binding by Robyn Schock.  Please bring your crayons and completed crayon challenge and lots of show and tell. I’m sure you’ve all been making lots of wonderful things for Christmas. The “self-portrait” class that was planned for Dec. 13 has had to be postponed. Everyone is invited; see you there.

RONAN — The Ladies Auxiliary VFW 5652 is having their December meeting on the first Wednesday this one time. It will be on Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Ronan.

RONAN — The Ronan Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Program presents its sixth annual Orange and Black Scrimmages in conjunction with a fundraising dinner and silent auction. 

Come and support the Ronan Chiefs and Maidens on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Ronan Event Center. All monies raised will help pay for meals when the Ronan teams travel.

Dinner is served from 5:30-7 p.m. and the auction begins at 5 p.m.

RONAN — Register today for a business plan workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 9. A business plan is an essential roadmap for business success. This living document generally projects 3-5 years ahead and outlines the route a company intends to take to grow revenues. Each business plan component will be explained, along with information about additional resources. There is a $10 charge and lunch is included.
