Flutes, books, gifts featured at Red Poppy
RONAN — On Sunday, Nov. 25, the Red Poppy opens its Christmas boutique, featuring a wide variety of gifts handcrafted by over 140 local community artists and craftsmen. At 2 p.m. a program featuring Polson’s Flathead Flute Choir, playing jazz, popular, classical, fun and holiday selections, will take place.
Additionally, Natasha Moore will be signing copies of her new children’s book with English and German text, The Circus/Der Zirkus.
A reception will follow the performance, and as always, the afternoon is free. The Red Poppy will be open from 12-4 p.m. on Nov. 25.
The Red Poppy is located in Ronan, just across Highway 93 from True Value at the south stoplight.

Annual holiday dinner to benefit local charities
RONAN — Mission Valley United Methodist Church and Ronan Sacred Heart Catholic Church present the fourth annual holiday dinner on Dec. 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. Donation only and proceeds go to local charities. Dinner will be held at the UMC at the top of Post Creek Hill, on Highway 93.

Auxiliary to meet earlier than normal
RONAN — The Ladies’ Auxiliary VFW 5652 meeting is Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ronan VFW Hall, 35981 Round Butte Rd. New members are welcome. For more information, call Marge Fay at (406) 676-3380. Note the meeting is the first Wednesday of the month just this one time.

Lutheran league to sell at 4-H community bazaar
RONAN — The Lutheran Women Missionary League will be at the 4-H community bazaar on Dec. 7 and 8. The Missionary League will have homemade “goodies.” They will also have a selection of microfiber bed sheets that are soft and easy-care. All proceeds go to mission projects: Ronan Bread Basket, preschool scholarships, local nonprofits, quilts, dresses for Africa, and the Lutheran Malaria Initiative.
