Flathead Rodeo includes music after events
POLSON — The Flathead River Rodeo, also known as the Indian National Finals Tour Rodeo, takes place Aug. 25, 26 and 27. Events begin at 6:30 p.m. with live music after the rodeo each night. POLSON — The free “Night at the Museum” at the Miracle of America Museum, 36094 Memory Lane, Polson, takes place on the fourth Thursday evening of each month. Tour Farmers Market, learn about heirloom produce
POLSON — Come learn and earn $20 worth of Fresh SNAP Double Dollars to be spent on locally grown produce at the Polson Farmers Market. All are welcome, including children, but only SNAP recipients will receive market credit. Tour the market, learn about heirloom produce, and meet local growers. The tour will conclude with a healthy snack at the Flathead Reservation Extension Office. Participants will meet at the market master booth to begin tour. Space is limited; sign up at the Polson Farmer’s Market today.

Support junior golfers, youth soccer
POLSON — The annual Rotary Chili Cook-off will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Chili cooking begins at 8 a.m.; free entertainment begins at 11 a.m.; public tasting of chili begins at noon and the raffle drawing takes place at 2 p.m. Make sure you purchase your raffle tickets to help the Jr. Golf Program. Tickets are only $25 each or five for $100. There are six prizes to choose from: $1000 in cash, $1000 in groceries, $1000 in gas, 300-350 pounds of cut beef, a wine cellar of a minimum of 60 bottles of wine or two 2016 season golf passes to Polson Bay Golf Course. Need not be present to win. Tickets are available from Cameron in the Pro Shop at the Polson Bay Golf Course.

Sandpiper's new exhibit features new artists from 8/23 to 9/30
POLSON — From Aug. 23-Sept. 30, the exhibit “Fresh Perspective” will feature new Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery artists Barbara Shrider (watercolor), Mark Sherman (raku pottery), Denise Zemke (stained glass), Gail Trenfield (watercolor/ photography), and long-time member artist Joanne Simpson (watercolor batik) and invited oil painter and pastel artist Helen Siemers. Polson Farmers Market marks 40th anniversary
POLSON — Come and celebrate the Polson Farmers Market 40th Anniversary. This will be a special day of events from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Since 1976, the market has provided a place for local crafters and growers in the Mission Valley to sell their goods to the community.
