POLSON – Free Dinner at Polson Presbyterian Church: The September Friendship Table Dinner is coming up on Sept. 11 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.

POLSON — A Bull-A-Rama benefit for Polson Police Officer William Cleveland is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Polson Fairgrounds. The performance begins at 6 p.m. and admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12- years old and younger. Pepsi and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center sponsored this event. The benefit will feature bull riders and mini bull riders. Pistol Creek Rodeo Company and Hendrickson Bucking Bulls will bring the stock, and cowboys will compete for a $4,000 added purse. Attendees can take part in a 50/50, silent auction, full concession stand and beer garden, with all proceeds going to Cleveland and his family.  

Cleveland was diagnosed with cancer in his esophagus, lymph nodes in his back, lungs and liver and is undergoing chemotherapy.

POLSON – Mission Valley Animal Shelter will present “Pet-a-Palooza” on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at Boettcher Park. There will be fun for you and your canine companion with plenty of contests, food, demonstrations and prizes. Anderson Radio Broadcasting is sponsoring this event. POLSON — A Community Flea Market at Polson’s United Methodist Church begins at 9 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Coffee and rolls will be served from 9-11 a.m., corndogs, chips and a drink are available from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Food conscious folks need to arrive early for a chance at the bake sale items.

Household goods, furniture, crafts and other items highlight the sale inventory. The market is open until 4:30 p.m. at 301 Sixteenth Ave. E.

POLSON – Chapter 1122 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will host the 17th annual Polson Fly-in at the Polson Airport on Saturday, Sept. 12, and admission is free. The public is invited to join pilots for an exciting day of aviation activities, beginning with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. Static displays, float planes, antique aircraft, experimental airplanes, and home-builds will be on display. Concessions and raffles will also be available.

POLSON –– Painters, young and old, come join in the 13th annual World Wide Paint-Out in Polson, on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. Join painters from all over the world, all painting on the same day. POLSON – Young Eagles Flights EAA chapter 1122 will offer free airplane rides for kids ages 8-17 on Sunday, Sept. 13, from 9-11 a.m.

POLSON – The Thyme for Herbs meeting is on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. in the North Lake County Public Library meeting room. 

The topic will be: How to Combine Herbs for Optimal Effectiveness and the discussion will include: how to harvest and preserve herbs; harvesting seed; and when to use essential oils. POLSON— Ken’s Country Combo will play at the Wednesday, Sept. 16, community dance that begins at 7 p.m. at the Elks. Keep bringing your friends and neighbors. There was a good turnout at the Sept. 2 dance.

POLSON – The Lake County Democrats’ “End of the Summer” picnic is at Boettcher Park at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept 18. Turkey and ham, non-alcoholic drinks and plates/utensils will be provided. 

Bring a dish to share and a chair. Alcoholic beverages are permitted so BYOB. 

Music will be provided and our special guest Monica Lindeen, candidate for Secretary of State will be the featured speaker.

POLSON — The second annual Chamber Uncorked fundraiser will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Polson Motorcoach Resort/KOA. Uncorked will also feature a tasting of Oktoberfest Brews and light hors d’oeuvres. Only 100 tickets will be sold for this event. Tickets are $45 and are available at the Chamber office at 418 Main Street. Deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday, Sept. 18.

POLSON — On Sept. 19 between 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the parking lot of Walmart in Polson, there will be a Child Passenger Safety Check Station set up over by the garden area during the Polson Police Department’s annual Safety Days event, where you may stop by and have your child’s car seat checked. POLSON — Lake County High School Rodeo will be held at Polson Fairgrounds Sept. 19-20. Watch as the girls and boys participate in a wide range of rodeo activities: barrels, saddle broncs, goat tying, and breakaway and possibly sports shooting. POLSON — The Polson Rural Fire Board has scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station, 25 Regatta Road.

POLSON — “September Sensory Fun” is the name of the Parents as Teachers Community Connections event on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. A light lunch will be served. Pregnant moms and families with children under the age of 5 are welcome at this free program, held in the Lake County Health Department’s conference room, 801 Main Street.
