Basketball played on Main Street
POLSON — The 21st annual Flathead Lake “3-on-3 basketball tournament” is on Main Street in Polson on July 26, 27 and 28 with 300 teams participating. All proceeds are donated back to the community, including $1,000 to chamber beautification.

Children to audition at Boettcher Park
POLSON — Auditions will be held for Glacier Lily Theatre Company’s Children’s production of Robin Hood. Anyone going into grades two to 12 is welcome to audition at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 28, at Boettcher Park in Polson. Actors in fourth-12 grades are asked to prepare a thirty-second monologue. The first rehearsal is July 29 at 1 p.m. All actors are required to attend and regular rehearsals will be held until the performances. There will be three performances: the first on the evening of Aug. 23, and two on Aug. 24, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Trip to Woodland Park on ‘Summer Sports’ class schedule
POLSON — The class, “Summer Sports,” will be taught by Jordan Carte. Students will play flag football, soccer, kickball and more. Class is Monday-Wednesday July 29-Aug. 1 from 8:55 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday’s class is from 8:55 a.m.–5 p.m. and includes picnicking in Woodland Park and roller skating at Shady Lane Roller Rink. Flathead Reservation Fish and Wildlife Board to meet
POLSON — On Wednesday, July 31, at 6 p.m., the Flathead Reservation Fish and Wildlife Board will meet at the Polson City Library. The agenda includes discussion of Pheasant and Hungarian Partridge seasons, waterfowl regulations, and State projects and accomplishments. Board Chairman Joe Brenneman invites the public to attend and ask questions or express their views.

Shelter offers special adoption price through Aug. 3
POLSON — Mission Valley Animal Shelter is offering a special for one week for cats and kittens beginning Tuesday, July 30, until Saturday, Aug. 3. You can receive 35 percent off adoption fees; adult cats are $35 and kittens (6 months and younger) are $45. The fee includes spay or neuter, vaccinations and rabies for adult cats.

Polson Country Club to host MSU Scholarship Golf Scramble
POLSON — The “MSU (Bobcat) Scholarship Golf Scramble” and barbecue is Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Polson Golf Club. Golf begins at 12:30 p.m.; with the refreshments and barbecue scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Hosts include MSU President Cruzado, dignitaries and coaches. Skate Jam on tap in Polson
POLSON — The Polson Skate Jam is Aug. 3 at noon, at the Seventh Avenue Skate Park. Prizes are awarded for trick and bowl skating contests. Skaters of all ability levels may participate. Swimming race begins ‘Water Daze”
POLSON — Celebrate the opening of the Mission Valley’s Aquatic Center at the 11th annual “Water Daze” event Saturday, Aug. 3, with a one-mile swim race at Boettcher Park beginning at 1 p.m. The cost is $20 if pre-registered and $25 the day of the event. There will be lots of fun activities for the kids including a huge water slide and a barbecue.
