Heart to Heart plays again
POLSON — Heart to Heart will play at the community dance on Wednesday, June 25. All are invited and are welcome to join the fun. Fred and Joy are back and playing up a storm. So, bring a treat to share and dance from 7-10 p.m. at the Elks.

Bank fundraises for Relay for Life
POLSON/RONAN — Community Bank is having fundraisers for the upcoming Relay for Life at both the Ronan and Polson branches on Thursday, June 26.
There will be a bake and book sale starting at 9 a.m. at both branches. These will be inside the banks.
From 3-7 p.m., on the same day at the Ronan branch, there will be an ice cream sundae fundraiser in the back of the bank during the Farmers Market on Main Street.
Free Italian dinner served
POLSON — There will be a free community dinner served on Thursday, June 26, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E. The menu is Italian and all are welcome.
Transportation committee to meet in Polson
POLSON — The Lake County School Transportation Committee will meet Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the large conference room of the Lake County Courthouse. Polson Fairgrounds hosts NRA Rodeo
POLSON — The annual Mission Mountain NRA Rodeo will be presented and produced by Polson Fairgrounds, Inc. and will be held Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28. Each evening will begin with youth mutton bustin’ and youth miniature bull riding beginning at 6:30 p.m. The NRA Rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. Live music by “Montana Darkhorse Band” will be played on Friday night after the rodeo. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 3-12 years of age, and children under 3 are free. Food and beverage concessions will be available. POLSON — Port Polson Players will present “Fools,” a Neil Simon Comedy, June 27-29 and July 4-6 at Polson’s beautiful theatre on the lake. Downtown Polson supports Life Savers Animal Rescue
POLSON — On Saturday, June 28, the Polson Business Community is partnering with Life Savers Animal Rescue in a fundraiser for the animals. Participating businesses are donating a percentage of that day’s sales or making cash donations. Participating businesses will have posters in their windows. The folks from Life Savers Animal Rescue will be downtown that Saturday letting people know about their mission for helping animals. Please consider being part of this community fundraiser. Let's help the animals and create some fun downtown.
Fundraiser includes fire department show and tell
POLSON — The Montecahto Club and the Finley Point volunteer Fire Department will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, June 28, from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. at the fire station located at mile marker 6 on Highway 35 on the east shore. Montecahto will have a bake sale and a rummage sale and lots of good stuff. The fire department will have a show and tell of their equipment and a wonderful meal will be available. Join us for some good times and great buys.
Polson Chamber holds sporting clays tournament
POLSON — The Polson Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Chamber Blast” will be held on Saturday, June 28, at Big Sky Sporting Clays. We will start with a quick beginner’s shooting clinic, followed by a shooter’s safety briefing prior to the Sporting Clays Tournament. A barbecue lunch and awards ceremony will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The cost is $110 per shooter or $330 per three-person team. Bring your shotgun, eye protection, and ear protection. No experience is necessary.

Classes for caregivers through July 8
POLSON — Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes are scheduled in Polson and Ronan for six Tuesdays, June 3-July 8. The Polson class will be in the Community Bank meeting room 10-11:30 a.m. The Ronan class will be in the MSU Extension Office at the Ronan Community Center from 2-3:30 p.m. The class is sponsored by the Area VI Agency on Aging and Lake Co. Extension Service, to help caregivers take care of themselves, better understand their emotions, communicate more effectively, and find local resources. Aquatic Center celebrates anniversary
POLSON — The Mission Valley Aquatics Center will celebrate their anniversary with an ice cream social on Thursday, July 3, starting at 6 p.m. There will be open house tours, an ice cream social, bowl painting, kids’ games, live music and lots more. Library program holds drop egg contest
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library Family Summer Reading Program weekly activities are on Thursday at 10 a.m. for school age children accompanied by an adult. On July 3 there will be an egg drop contest.

Celebrate with concert, fireworks in Polson
POLSON — Anderson Broadcasting will present a free Community Concert at 1 p.m. with Dark Horse Montana; Off In The Woods starts at 4 p.m., and The Mission Mountain Wood Band will start at 8 p.m. Community Fireworks Show will begin at 10:30 p.m. from the Polson Fairgrounds.
Library closes for holiday
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5.
Parade begins at noon
POLSON —The Polson 4th of July parade begins at noon. The theme this year is “Parade of Stars”. A free ice cream social will be held following the parade, at the Flathead Historical Museum on Main Street. Contact the Polson Chamber at (406) 883-5969, for more information.
Run down Main Street for Fun Run
POLSON — The sixth annual Firecracker Fun Run will be held on Friday, July 4. The Polson 1 mile walk/run starts at 11:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center. Participants walk or run down Main Street in red, white and blue just prior to the 4th of July parade at noon. Cost is a non-perishable food item to be donated to Polson Loaves and Fish. POLSON — Flathead Lake Cheese is having an Open House Saturday, July 5, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be tours, tastings, sales and everything you ever wanted to know about cheese making and solar thermal heat.
