POLSON — The Polson Rural Fire District trustees monthly meeting is Wednesday, July 9, at 7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station. All residents of the Polson Rural Fire District and interested general public are encouraged to attend. Any member of the public wishing to submit items for board review/consideration needs to submit them to the board clerk at least ten days in advance of the meeting. POLSON — North Lake County Public Library family summer reading program weekly activities are on Thursday at 10 a.m. for school age children accompanied by an adult. “Volcanoes Part I” will include building with paper mache.

POLSON — The Port Polson Players will present “Amelia Earhart, an Unsolved Mystery,” July 10-20 at Polson’s beautiful theatre on the Lake. Curtain time is 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $16 for adults and $15 for senior citizens and students. POLSON — The Museum of America’s “second Thursday night presentation” program for July 10 will feature early day motorcycling with a documentary from Harley Davidson. POLSON — A free dinner will be served at the Polson Presbyterian Church on July 11 from 5-7 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us; this dinner is free and open to all.

POLSON — Sandpiper Gallery will host a reception on Friday, July 11, from 5-7 p.m. for “Eye Candy,” a multi-media show featuring paintings, ceramics, woodworking, sculptures and jewelry.

POLSON — There will be a Polson School Board meeting on Monday, July 14, at the district office, 111 Fourth Ave. E at 5:30 p.m. 

POLSON — The Polson Alliance Church, 46873 US Hwy 93, will hold a vacation bible school on July 15-17 from 9 a.m.-noon. POLSON — Go to the Polson Fairgrounds and join the first wave of racers at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 19. This is the Boys’ and Girls’ Club second annual Mud Run. Register before July 15: $35 for adults, 15 for youngsters 12 and under. Race day registration is: $40 for adults and $20 for youngsters 12 and under. You must pre-register to be guaranteed a shirt size. The 5K course is for adults and super brave kids. The 1-mile course is for kids and less inclined adults. POLSON —The annual Polson Main Street Flathead Cherry Festival will take place on Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Sunday, July 20, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be fun for the whole family. Enjoy over 125 vendors; Flathead cherries; homemade cherry pies; unique arts and crafts; cherry pie eating, stem tying, and pit spitting contests; entertainment; sidewalk sales and specials. POLSON — Live History Days takes place at the Miracle of America Museum on July 19-20. There will be ice cream; rides on two trains; Army rigs; spinners and wood carvers; a sawmill in action; a jet trainer cockpit; a blacksmith shop; whirling flywheel engines; a tennis ball cannon; a one room schoolhouse and historic movies. The “Country Combo” of fiddlers, pickers, singers and accordions will play music on Saturday. Join the fun, sell your wares and be a part of history. We welcome new exhibitors and volunteers. POLSON — The Beautification Committee of Envision Polson invites you to nominate what you consider to be the “bloomin’ best” yards and gardens in our community. Nominate a business and/or a residence within the city limits of Polson by July 21, for recognition of their beautiful flower gardens. You can even nominate yourself. Fill out as many nomination forms as you wish with one nominee per form. Forms are available to pick up and drop off at the Polson Chamber of Commerce, or submit an application to: info@polsonchamber.com.

POLSON — The Polson City/County Planning Board is holding work a sessions to review draft changes to the Polson Development Code. The Monday, July 21, 6 p.m. meeting will consider non-conforming uses and lot coverage/impervious surface area. The Polson Development Code contains the zoning and subdivision regulations for the City of Polson and surrounding area. The public is invited to attend and participate in the meetings. Each meeting will be held in the Polson City Council chambers.

POLSON — PEOs will gather for a Reciprocity Brown Bag Picnic Lunch on Tuesday, July 22, at Boettcher Park in Polson.

The annual event begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. at the covered table picnic area at the park. Use the Polson Golf Course entrance to get to Boettcher Park. Attendees are urged to bring guests along with their lunches. Drinks and dessert will be provided.
