POLSON — Flathead Lake Cheese is having an Open House Saturday, July 5, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be tours, tastings, sales and everything you ever wanted to know about cheese making and solar thermal heat. Here’s something you can do with a house full of company. Support your local cheese makers and look for the dancing cheese head to point the way. See you there.

POLSON —The KwaTaqNuk Resort will have an All American Celebration from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

POLSON — Heart to Heart will play country and rock ‘n roll music from the '50s and '60s at their next dance on Wednesday, July 9, from 7-10 p.m. at the Elks Club. Don’t miss your chance to dance.

POLSON — The Polson Rural Fire District trustees monthly meeting is Wednesday, July 9, at 7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station. All residents of the Polson Rural Fire District and interested general public are encouraged to attend. Any member of the public wishing to submit items for board review/consideration needs to submit them to the board clerk at least ten days in advance of the meeting. POLSON — The East Shore Smokehouse presents, by popular demand, the return of Billy Peterson and The Boys on the outside deck Thursday, July 10, from 7-10 p.m. Billy (former player with Steve Miller and on over 100 albums) is back with his Sons and some very special guests for an evening of dancing and music under the stars. POLSON — North Lake County Public Library family summer reading program weekly activities are on Thursday at 10 a.m. for school age children accompanied by an adult. “Volcanoes Part I” will include building with paper mache.

POLSON — The Port Polson Players will present “Amelia Earhart, an Unsolved Mystery,” July 10-20 at Polson’s beautiful theatre on the Lake. Curtain time is 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $16 for adults and $15 for senior citizens and students. POLSON — The Museum of America’s “second Thursday night presentation” program for July 10 will feature early day motorcycling with a documentary from Harley Davidson. POLSON — A free dinner will be served at the Polson Presbyterian Church on July 11 from 5-7 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us; this dinner is free and open to all.

POLSON — Sandpiper Gallery will host a reception on Friday, July 11, from 5-7 p.m. for “Eye Candy,” a multi-media show featuring paintings, ceramics, woodworking, sculptures and jewelry.

POLSON — The “Thyme for Herbs Group” will meet on Monday, July 14, at 7 p.m. in the North Lake County Public Library Meeting Room, 2 First Ave. E. Our topic will be “More Medicinal Herbs.”

POLSON — There will be a Polson School Board meeting on Monday, July 14, at the district office, 111 Fourth Ave. E at 5:30 p.m. 

POLSON — The Polson Alliance Church, 46873 US Hwy 93, will hold a vacation bible school on July 15-17 from 9 a.m.-noon. POLSON — Go to the Polson Fairgrounds and join the first wave of racers at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 19. This is the Boys’ and Girls’ Club second annual Mud Run. Register before July 15: $35 for adults, 15 for youngsters 12 and under. Race day registration is: $40 for adults and $20 for youngsters 12 and under. You must pre-register to be guaranteed a shirt size. The 5K course is for adults and super brave kids. The 1-mile course is for kids and less inclined adults. POLSON — Ken’s Country Band will play at the Elks on Wednesday, July 16, from 7-10 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to join the fun and enjoy the wonderful music. The treats are exceptional, tasty and thoroughly enjoyed.
