Free meal served on ‘Fifth Friday’
POLSON — Join us May 31 for the free “Fifth Friday” community dinner at the Polson Community Church, 1814 First St., E. Beef stew and dessert will be serving from 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Bring your family and friends and let us do the cooking on May 31.
Sunday worship services at Polson Community Church begin at 10 a.m., Seekers at 8:45 a.m., June, July and August.
Poets, artists invited to submit work
POLSON — On Friday, May 31, Polson Middle School students Sophia Sisler and Annabelle Smith are hosting a “PoARTry In The Park” event at Polson’s Riverside Park from 5-7:30 p.m. Come read a poem or just listen, and view art. Remember to bring a blanket. This is an open invitation to all artists in Polson to submit their art and poems. To enter and receive consideration for a slot in the show, email your original poem or a photo of your artwork to: polsonpoetry@gmail.com. There is a limit of two entries per person. Artwork must be suitable for hanging.

AARP Driver Safety Classes set
POLSON — On Monday, June 3, a Driver Safety Class will be held at the Polson Area Senior Center from 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m. and from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Please call (406) 883-4735 for a reservation.
Join advanced studies students
POLSON — The students in Polson’s Gifted Program’s advanced studies classes (grades 6, 7/8 and 9-12) invite you to an evening of displays and presentations. Come any time between 5-7 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013. This event will take place in the library at Polson High School. If you have any questions, please contact Tamara Fisher at tfisher@polson.k12.mt.us or (406) 883-6335 ext. 328. The students developed their own semester-long or yearlong project or course of study and would like to share with you all that they learned about the following topics: ski building, graphic design, music composition, sociology, fiction writing, graphic novels, Italian language, French language, Latin language, Web page design, architecture, computer animation, life guarding, robotics, computer programming, choreography, didgeridoo, veterinary science and many more.

POLSON — Join us for the community dance at the Elks on Wednesday, June 5. Bring all your friends and acquaintances. Treats are awesome so keep them coming. Ken’s Country Combo is the coolest band around. Dance with us from 7-10 p.m.

Benefit planned for Debbie Basler
POLSON — A benefit spaghetti feed and silent auction will be held for Debbie Basler at the Polson Elks Lodge on Thursday, June 6, from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 for a family and they may be purchased at Port Polson Inn, Total Screen Design or at the door.
Debbie has been diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease, which has attacked every part of her body. Due to this debilitating disease, Debbie has been forced to leave her job and is on the verge of losing her home. She has no medical insurance and is finding it hard to qualify for financial assistance.
