POLSON — Mission Valley Live will present The Great Kaplan on Friday, April 22, at 7 p.m. at Polson High School. The show’s illusion, music, juggling and deadpan comedy collide in a hilarious vaudeville spectacle. POLSON — On Friday, April 22, Representative Al Olszewski, who is on the Interim Children, Family and Human Services Committee, will discuss what he knows about Democrat Governor Bullock’s planned resettlement of Syrian refugees in western Montana. POLSON — CASA of Lake and Sanders Counties is holding its 10th annual Golf Scramble on Saturday April 23, at the Polson Bay Golf Course. This is our only major fundraiser each year. CASA trains and supports volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates to represent the best interests of children who have been subject to abuse and neglect. Advertise your business, sign up a team, or just donate to the cause. The four-person Golf Scramble begins with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. with a barbeque and auction to follow. POLSON — “Anybody for tea?” A dinner theater to raise funds for PHS Theater and PHS Summer Spanish Club will take place April 23 and 24 at the Finley Point Montecahto Clubhouse. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. and the show will be at 7 p.m.

POLSON — Polson Youth Soccer U14 girls’ team will play Flathead Rapids’ soccer team at Linderman School at 9 a.m. and will play Flathead Force at Linderman School at 3 p.m. on April 23.

POLSON — The monthly Polson Indian Education Committee meeting is on Monday, April 25, at Polson High School. Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria and the meeting is at 6 p.m. in the school library. Childcare will be provided. This meeting is open to the public. POLSON — North Lake County Public Library in Polson will present a program on Financial Fraud Protection in partnership with Money Smart Week® on Tuesday, April 26, at 4 p.m. in the library meeting room. POLSON — The Area VI Agency on Aging is offering a Medicare Basics class for anyone turning 65 this year, on Wednesday, April 27, from 1-4 p.m. at the Lake County Health Dept. meeting room at 802 Main Street. There are many decisions to make, deadlines to meet and penalties to avoid. Those already on Medicare, who’d like to understand it better, are also welcome. POLSON — A free community dinner will be served on Thursday, April 28, at 6 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E. The menu is Italian with salads and desserts. All are welcome.

POLSON — The Miracle of America Museum provides a Free Night at the Museum every fourth Thursday of each month. On April 28 beginning at 6:30 p.m., “Common Sense, Self and Home Defense,” a panel discussion, will cover various aspects of life, limb and property.

POLSON — The Polson community will have a clean-up event on Friday, April 29,-Sunday, May 1. The information and supply center will be located at North Lake County Library where you may pick up trash bags, gloves and be assigned areas for cleanup. 

POLSON — The fifth Friday free dinner at the Polson Community Church, 1814 First Street E, is on Friday, April 29. Dinner will be served from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Bring your family and friends.

POLSON — Learn more about dog behavior and your relationship with your best friend. Take a free class on Saturday, April 30, from 2-3 p.m. at Mission Valley Animal Shelter. POLSON — Polson Youth Soccer U15 boys’ team will play Stevensville Sabers’ soccer team at Linderman School at 10:15 a.m. and will play Wild Horse YSA at Linderman School at 4:30 p.m. on April 30.

POLSON — Harp, flute and guitar music will open the Spring Music Festival at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 1, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Polson. The festival is sponsored by the Polson Ministerial Association. A spaghetti supper, prepared by the Knights of Columbus, will be served immediately following the festival in the church basement.

The festival program includes Harpist Debbie Conrad, the Flathead Flute Choir and Guitarist Nathan Eyre in addition to three Mass Choir selections. This event promises to be uplifting, spiritual and exciting for participants as well as for the audience.

This annual concert is held to support the Polson Ministerial Association Helping Hands Fund. HHF is an ecumenical project that provides emergency assistance to Lake County residents as well as to folks traveling through the area.

POLSON — Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery will sponsor a non-juried show open to all artists April 16-May 27. Artistic interpretation of the theme, in any medium, will be accepted. POLSON — NAMI Mission Valley will hold its regular monthly meeting at the North Lake County Public Library in the library’s meeting room, (rather than at Soups On), on Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m. We will have a film on the brain, a series that was on PBS. Please join us there.

POLSON — The community dance on Wednesday, May 4, is our celebration of Cinco de Mayo at the Elks. Ken’s Country Combo will play. All are welcome.

POLSON — Everyone is welcome to join the Lake County Central Committee monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. at the Sheriff’s conference room in the Polson Rural Fire Department building next to the fairgrounds. Come hear what is going on in the county, state, and of course nationally with our country. We will discuss our upcoming state Republican convention, thinking we may be an important vote this year as Montana is the last primary of the season. POLSON — The Polson Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Thursday of each month. All are welcome. Wade Nash, Chief of Police for Polson, will be our speaker on May 5. He will give us an overview of his department and update us on law enforcement issues in Polson. The club is collecting non-perishable food items for donation to Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry. You may bring those items to the meeting.
