POLSON — The Lake County Republican Women’s group will meet at the Polson Rural Fire Hall on Monday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. Heidi Roedel, president of the Montana Federation of Republican Women, will speak on what is happening at the national level, and how we can work together to better serve our candidates. POLSON —The Polson Rotary Club will have its monthly open-social hour at the Perfect Shot on Main Street on Tuesday, May 14, at 5:30 p.m. Anyone interested in Rotary or good conversation is welcome. Rotary’s regular weekly meeting is on Tuesday, at 12:15 p.m., usually at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. The club is considering sponsoring a satellite club that would meet in the mornings or evenings, at least twice a month. A minimum of eight members is needed to meet requirements of Rotary International. Ronan is also being considered as a possibility for a satellite location. POLSON — The North Lake County Library continues its popular Needle Arts Series with embroidery classes every Tuesday in May from 2-3 p.m. On May 14 learn cross stitching.

POLSON — Please join us for the community dance at the Elks on Main Street on Wednesday, May 15, from 7-10 p.m. in the ballroom. Music is by Ken’s Country Combo, playing a variety of country and vintage rock and roll. Ken Kenmille is on guitar and a vocalist; Richard Tobel plays lead guitar; Liz Steele is on accordion; and our southern singer is Betty Carter. Coffee and water is provided in the ballroom. You can purchase drinks, soft drinks and bottled water in the bar. Everyone is welcome and no Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5. If you come early you can buy a great burger from the Elks. Come and check us out.

POLSON — “ A Community’s Response to Hate,” a presentation by former pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church David Rommereim, and Rabbi Allen Secher of Whitefish where the Jewish Community experienced a cyber attack. The community is invited for the May 19 presentation at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 Fourth Ave. E. The event begins at 10:15 a.m. after regular services.

POLSON — The Wednesday, May 22, EAA Chapter 1122 meet and greet/“Burger Burn,” is open to all interested in airplanes, learning to fly, or participating in local aviation events or fly-outs. Come join us at our meet and greet meeting with burgers. We meet at the Polson airport FBO at 6 p.m. for burgers. Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

POLSON — The Polson Whitefish Credit Union, (110 Third Ave.), will hold their annual “Shred Day” on Wednesday, May 22, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Our Shred Day event is free to all Credit Union members and the public. Bring any unwanted paper documents, especially ones containing personal and confidential information, to one of our event locations to have your materials safely and securely destroyed on-site at no charge. Shredding is first come, first served. When the trucks are full, shredding will no longer be available. POLSON — The North Lake County Library continues with adult coloring with “Travel Across America Color by Number,” Thursday, May 23, from 2-4 p.m.

POLSON — Bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks to the North Lake County Library on May 24. The library will provide popcorn while you enjoy a family-friendly movie at 6 p.m. Don’t be late as the doors get locked.
