POLSON — On Tuesday, April 30, from 2-3 p.m., North Lake County library will conduct a “Computer Basics Class - Social Media.” For this class a tablet or smart phone is needed. You can bring your own or the library may provide one for you. Please call the library at 406-883-8225 or stop by the circulation desk to reserve your spot. This class is open and free to the public.

POLSON — Are you caring for a loved one? Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is hosting the Area VI Agency on Aging’s six-week series of classes designed to help caregivers with the many physical and emotional challenges they face. POLSON — Please join us for the Community Dance at the Elks on Main Street on Wednesday, May 1, from 7-10 p.m. in the ballroom. Music is by Ken’s Country Combo Band playing a variety of country and vintage rock and roll. Everyone is welcome. No Elks membership is required. Cover charge for the evening is $5. POLSON — If you are a man with any cancer diagnosis this group is for you. Join others for six meetings to discuss the issues men with cancer are facing Friday afternoons from 5:15-6:30 p.m. at the Bickford Building (upstairs). This group is free of charge. POLSON — The spring session of “Moving for Better Balance,” an adapted Tai Chi program, will begin on Tuesday, April 9. POLSON — The National Day of Prayer event will take place on Thursday, May 2, from noon-1 p.m. on the Lake County courthouse front lawn. Local churches will come together for an hour to pray for our nation, our leaders, schools, the tribe, the military, families, youth, and the media. POLSON — Join the CSKT Mussel Walk with local middle school students and community members and help us protect our water from aquatic invasive species on May 3 at Salish Point from 9-11 a.m. Rotate between four interactive information stations: mussel identification, a mussel-dog demonstration, aquatic invasive species life cycle questions and answers, and a mussel walk/shoreline cleanup. This is a joint effort of CSKT, UM Flathead Lake Bio Station, and the Flathead Lakers.

POLSON — On May 3, at 7 p.m. in the Polson High School auditorium, the real-life father-daughter team who have been performing their original brand of mind-reading since 2012, will work together to create stage pieces that are unexpected, inventive and, of course, funny. A single ticket at the door is $15 and advance purchase tickets are $13. Youth 18 and under are free and tickets for college students with identification are $5. POLSON — New Life Church, 1414 Second Ave. W, will host “Pure Joy,” at 7 p.m. This event is a free event for women ages 14 to 114. Women from the community will tell stories about how God is working through their imperfections, real women and real issues. Come early for fun giveaways and laughter.

POLSON — Polson High School is the site of Anderson Broadcasting’s annual Spring Trades Fair and Business Expo. From 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. you can visit with over 100 business booths including food, Internet service, health care, home improvement, cars, digital marketing and more. POLSON — The Northwest Accordion Association will hold a community dance May 5 from 2-5 p.m. in the Elks ballroom. There’s more than accordion music; a variety of music is played for you to listen to or dance to. You do not have to be a member of the Elks or the Accordion Association to attend, sing or play. Remember, if you sing or play you don’t pay. Admission is $2 for members, $3 for non-members, and $5 to become a member of the association. Everyone is welcome. POLSON — The North Lake County Library continues its popular Needle Arts Series with embroidery classes every Tuesday in May from 2-3 p.m. On May 7 needle art basics will be discussed.
