POLSON – On Saturday, March 28, the Head Over Heels Tumbling and Acrobatics Show will be held in the “gym” at the Polson Alliance Church on Highway 93 and Tower Road. The show begins with our littlest gymnasts opening at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m. our Tumblers will be showcased followed promptly by the Acro Teams. POLSON — Mission Valley churches are coming together for a night of praise and worship at Polson Foursquare Church on the evening of Palm Sunday, March 29, at 6 p.m. The church is located 3.5 miles north of Polson Bridge on Highway 93 N. Bring a dessert to share afterwards.

Community invited to Catholic faith series through April 3
POLSON – All are invited to attend a “Symbolon” series titled, “The Catholic Faith Explained,” starting Friday, Feb. 20, and continuing every Friday thereafter during Lent at the Immaculate Conception Church in Polson. The gathering will begin at 6 p.m. with Stations of the Cross. A soup supper, video and discussion will follow at 6:30 p.m. Immaculate Conception Church is located at 1002 Fourth Ave. E.. Dance at Elks
POLSON – Wow. Treats were super last week. We could still use more dancers. Spring is here and one can always hope dancers will show. Ken’s Country Combo is playing. Join us 7-10 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the Elks. Keep those awesome treats coming; we love you for your help. The evenings are wonderful because of your sharing with us.
Gallery shows Native American artwork through April 4
POLSON — Sandpiper Gallery presents a Native American Invitational Show highlighting the work of Native American artists Dion Albert (birchbark), Ben Pease (paintings), Sierra Pete (paintings), and Louie Still Smoking (paintings). This show runs through April 4. Please join us for a complimentary glass of wine while you view the vibrant art from our guest artists. Reception is Friday, Feb. 27, from 5-7 p.m.
iPad basics taught
POLSON — Free technology classes are being offered at North Lake County Public Library in Polson during the month of April. On Wednesday, April 1, from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m learn ‘iPad basics.’ Not sure how to set up or use your iPad? This class is for you. The session will cover: setting up an Apple ID, logging into WiFi, running updates to your device and your apps, and downloading/deleting apps from the App Store. Children to hunt eggs at Boettcher
POLSON — Polson’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, presented by the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, at Boettcher Park at 9 a.m. sharp. All ages, up to the fourth grade, may participate. Come early and meet the Easter Bunny.

Foursquare Church holds free Easter Carnival

Good Shepherd plans Two Easter services
POLSON — Easter Sunday begins bright and early April 5, with a 7 a.m. Sunrise Service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The Youth Group will serve a hearty breakfast at 8 a.m. There is no charge for the meal; however, donations will be gratefully accepted and go toward the Youth Group. Mayor to recognize community service
POLSON — The Mayor’s Day of Recognition for National and Community Service will be held Tuesday, April 7, at 11 a.m. at the Polson Senior Citizens Community Center, 504 Third Ave. E. Polson Mayor Heather Knutson will read a proclamation, serve, and be available to meet with people.
Other open houses will take place in conjunction with this event on Tuesday, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Polson Health and Rehabilitation, St. Joseph Retirement Community and Pines of Polson Assisted Living. Event will include a site overview, cake and beverage services by RSVP volunteers.

Enjoy treats, dance
POLSON — Thank you, thank you. The treats last week were wonderful and so was the crowd. We need more dancers so the bands know they are appreciated. Come dance at the Elks from 7-10 p.m. Wednesdays. Ken’s Country Combo has changed their look so come give them a listen.
NARFE group to meet
POLSON — The National and Active Retired Federal Employees will hold their quarterly meeting on April 8 at Polson Senior Center at 11:45 a.m. A meal of pork chops and rice will be available. Following lunch there will be a program featuring Lisa Skalsky, who will speak about The Nest. Following that program there will be a brief business meeting. The public is invited.

POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will host special one-hour programs for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers on Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., which will include stories, songs, movements, crafts and more. Museum shows war movie
POLSON — Join us at the Miracle of America Museum, 36094 Memory Lane, on April 9, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. We will show “Harry’s War,” a movie about a postal worker who quits his job to fight the IRS. He feels they had unjustly mistreated his Aunt Beverly who owned a military surplus yard. Harry has to use a WWII halftrack, (like the one the museum displays out front), to fight justice.
