Mexican food on tap at Methodist fundraiser
POLSON — Polson United Methodist Church’s Fiesta Dinner Fundraiser to reduce their mortgage debt is scheduled for Saturday, March 21.
This event includes great Mexican food, a silent auction, a pie auction, and door prizes. Prices are $10 per adult, $5 for children under 10 years of age, and children under 5 years of age are free.
Dinner is from 5-6:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased from a church member. The United Methodist Church is located at 301 16th Street E.

Spring celebrated with music
POLSON — A “Celebration of Spring” music recital will be held in Polson at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 Fourth Ave. E, on Sunday, March 22, at 3 p.m. Donna Rowold, organist and minister of music at Good Shepherd, is bringing together her musical friends and colleagues to join her in a concert of a wide variety of music, from classical to blues. Scheduled to perform are pianists Karla Gallatin, Karen Vergeront, Gay Cochrane, Heather Mergenthaler and Diane Torres; harpist Cathy Gillhouse; violinists Del and Cheryl Des Jarlais; and the Flathead Flute Choir, with flutists Michael Kramarczyk, Libby Smith, Barbara Magone, and Kathy Quist. A free will offering will be received to benefit the Mission Valley Friends of the Arts Heat/Air Conditioner upgrade fund. The Greater Polson Community Foundation will match the collection. Please join us for a delightful afternoon of musical favorites.

Dance, enjoy treats on Wednesdays
POLSON — Come one; come all to the best-kept secret for Wednesday night fun. The weekly dance at the Elks on Sixth and Main, is a great time. Bring your friends and practice your dance moves from 7-10 p.m. Tunes are provided by ‘Heart to Heart.’ We don’t have a sponsor anymore so, if you can, bring a treat to share.
Fire District to review truck purchase
POLSON – The Polson Rural Fire District will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, March 25, at 7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station. The purpose of the meeting is to review Wildland Type 3 new fire truck purchase. All residents of the Polson Rural Fire District and interested general public are encouraged to attend.
MVCA to present ‘Little Women’
POLSON — Mission Valley Christian Academy will present the play “Little Women” from March 25-27. The Wednesday, March 25, matinee is at 1 p.m., and performances on Thursday, March 26, and Friday, March 27, begin at 7 p.m. Dessert will be served during intermission. Tickets are $15 per person or $65 for a family of five.

PSPI schedules March meeting
POLSON — The March Partners in Suicide Prevention and Intervention meeting will be on Wednesday, March 25, at the Polson Tribal Health and Human Services Clinic on the third floor. It will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Roxana Colman-Herak will present on Cyber-bullying and then have an open discussion. A short period of time will be dedicated to ideas for our social media Circle of Trust campaign.

POLSON — A free community dinner will be served on Thursday, March 26, at 6 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E. The menu will include Sloppy Joes, salads and dessert. All are welcome.

View gymnasts
POLSON – On Saturday, March 28, the Head Over Heels Tumbling and Acrobatics Show will be held in the “gym” at the Polson Alliance Church on Highway 93 and Tower Road. The show begins with our littlest gymnasts opening at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m. our Tumblers will be showcased followed promptly by the Acro Teams. POLSON — Mission Valley churches are coming together for a night of praise and worship at Polson Foursquare Church on the evening of Palm Sunday, March 29, at 6 p.m. The church is located 3.5 miles north of Polson Bridge on Highway 93 N. Bring a dessert to share afterwards.

Community invited to Catholic faith series through April 3
POLSON – All are invited to attend a “Symbolon” series titled, “The Catholic Faith Explained,” starting Friday, Feb. 20, and continuing every Friday thereafter during Lent at the Immaculate Conception Church in Polson. The gathering will begin at 6 p.m. with Stations of the Cross. A soup supper, video and discussion will follow at 6:30 p.m. Immaculate Conception Church is located at 1002 Fourth Ave. E.. POLSON – Wow. Treats were super last week. We could still use more dancers. Spring is here and one can always hope dancers will show. Ken’s Country Combo is playing. Gallery shows Native American artwork through April 4
POLSON — Sandpiper Gallery presents a Native American Invitational Show highlighting the work of Native American artists Dion Albert (birchbark), Ben Pease (paintings), Sierra Pete (paintings), and Louie Still Smoking (paintings). iPad basics taught
POLSON — Free technology classes are being offered at North Lake County Public Library in Polson during the month of April. On Wednesday, April 1, from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m learn ‘iPad basics.’ Not sure how to set up or use your iPad? This class is for you. The session will cover: setting up an Apple ID, logging into WiFi, running updates to your device and your apps, and downloading/deleting apps from the App Store. Space is limited, so please call the library at (406) 883-8225 to register. As always, if you see a class you’d like to take, but can’t make it at the scheduled time, call for an individual free session. The library is located at 2 First Ave. E.
