POLSON — The Polson Community Easter Egg Hunt, brought to you by Alpha Upsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, will take place at Boettcher Park on Saturday, April 19, at 9 a.m. sharp. Children will be grouped by age from babies up to the fourth grade.  

POLSON — Mission Valley Christian Academy Ultimate Frisbee Invitational is on Saturday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at the school, 38907 Highway 35 in Polson. There will be concessions, hot dogs for lunch and a bake sale available. Come check out Ultimate Frisbee and support the concessions. Proceeds help the team go to Seattle for a tournament.

POLSON — On Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Nancy’s Kids will sponsor a free kids’ carnival, train rides, a DJ, a free photo of your child with the Easter Bunny and an all-day bake sale at the Polson Walmart. POLSON — The Montana Co-op Local Food and Sustainability’s “Monday Night at the Movies Spring Film Series” Monday, April 21, featured film will be “Foodmatters - Let thy food be thy medicine.”

POLSON — The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1122 will hold the April meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at the Polson airport. This meeting is a planned potluck social and open to anyone interested in aviation. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish, salad, or desert; the chapter will provide burgers. Our guest speaker will be Keith Urbach who will speak on “Supporting Air Force One.”

POLSON — A free community dinner will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E, on Thursday, April 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. The menu includes soups, salad and dessert. All are welcome.

POLSON — The public is invited to an open house at North Lake County Public Library in appreciation of retiring library trustee Jackie Gran. The reception will be held in the library’s atrium from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, April 24. Jackie served on the board of trustees for 12 years. The St. Andrews Episcopal Church is holding their annual yard sale Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26 at 110 6th Avenue East, at the corner of 2nd Street East. The sale is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds go to local charities.

POLSON — Polson Fairgrounds, Inc.’s 24th annual Cowboy Ball, Dinner and Auction will be held Friday, April 25, under the Big Tent at the Polson Fairgrounds. No host cocktails and silent auction is at 5:30 p.m.; dinner is at 6:30 p.m.; a live auction takes place at 7:30 p.m.; and dancing featuring Southern Comfort Band will follow. Tickets are $40 each and include one free beer or a glass of wine. Proceeds to benefit fairground improvement and your donations are tax deductible. POLSON — The “Oil and Gas Revolution: The What, the Why … and the Factoid Factor” will be the topic at the Friday, April 25, meeting of the Lake County Pachyderms beginning at noon at the Polson Rural Fire Department building on Regatta Road near the fairgrounds. Dr. Bill Whitsitt, a former energy company executive and industry association leader, will be the guest speaker. 

POLSON — Anderson Radio Broadcasting, Inc. will present the Mission Valley Trades Fair and Business Expo, with vendors from all over, to be held at Polson High School. POLSON — CASA of Lake County’s golf scramble, hosted by Mick Holien, will take place at Polson Bay Golf Course on Saturday, April 26. The shotgun start 18-hole, four-person scramble includes registration/breakfast at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $260 per team or $60 per person. POLSON — The Nesting Place, at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, is holding their second annual “Baby Fair” on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. in the first floor lobby. They will have information about birthing options, postpartum depression, infant safety and much more. You will be able to visit with pediatric providers, obstetricians, the Department of Public Health and Human Services, and other community groups. There will be several raffle prizes, so if you are having a baby, recently had a baby or planning to have a baby, don’t miss this event.

All persons are invited to learn and share how we as a community can help each other to achieve a healthier lifestyle and thrive. Movie night is free; bring snacks if you desire.
