POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will host a free Internet Basics class on Tuesday, March 21, at 2 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. in the library meeting room.

Library Specialist Heather Miles will present a basic overview of the Internet and how it works. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops or tablets to follow along. Also available will be a group of laptops for attendees who don’t have a device. Anyone of any age or skill level is invited to attend. North Lake County Public Library is located at 2 First Ave. E.

POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will celebrate Irish culture with a Celtic-themed coloring program for adults and teens on Wednesday, March 22. Angela has planned for two sessions (2:30 and 5:30 pm). Local harpist, Debbie Conrad, will provide background music. Angela has some beautiful pages ready to color – all supplies are provided and the program is free and open to the public.

POLSON — A free community dinner will be served at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E, on Thursday, March 23, at 6 p.m. The menu is Italian and everyone is welcome.

POLSON — North Lake County Public Library presents Story Time on Thursdays for 3-5 year olds at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The one-hour program includes reading, rhymes, and crafts. This week’s story theme is “How do Dinosaurs Choose Their Pets?”

POLSON — On March 23 all are invited to watch “Night At The Museum” starring Ben Stiller and Robin Williams at 6:30 p.m. at the Miracle of America Museum’s Fourth Thursday event. Treats are always welcome.

POLSON — The community is invited to join a non-partisan, local grassroots group for Potluck for Democracy from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the Indian Senior Center, 701 First St. E. in Polson. The event is an opportunity to make friends while building community and positive citizenship through sharing food and dialogue about things that matter in the community, state and nation. Please bring a dish to share. The gathering is sponsored by Montana Towns under 10,000 and Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition.

POLSON — Donate blood to the Red Cross on March 28 from noon-5 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 Fourth Ave. E. Make an appointment to give blood by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

All eligible blood donors are encouraged to give blood and help save lives in March, Red Cross Month. Donating is easier than ever with the free Blood Donor App and RapidPass where donors can schedule and manage donation appointments, access their donor card, track the impact of their donations and earn rewards. Donors can also save up to 15 minutes at the blood drive by using RapidPass to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questions online at redcrossblood.org/ RapidPass before coming to their appointments.

POLSON — The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Natural Resources Department will hold public education meetings about protecting the watershed from Aquatic Invasive Species, such as quagga and zebra mussels, at the KwaTaqNuk Resort in the Alexander room on Tuesday, March 28, from 6-8 p.m.

POLSON — Polson Democrats are meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Soups On in Polson. At the same date and time, Ronan Democrats are meeting at the North Crow Clubhouse south of Pablo. The evening programs will focus on discussing the status of the democratic campaign for U.S. Congress and how local volunteers can work to elect Democratic candidate Rob Quist in the upcoming May 25 special election. Light refreshments will be served. Democrats interested in volunteering for the campaign are welcome to attend.

POLSON — Special monthly Zen Meditation Classes are being offered at the YogaHeart Studio, 314 Main Street, on Wednesday, March 29 and May 3 at 7 p.m. Zen Priest Jerry Smyers will present the classes. There is no charge for the classes. Everyone is welcome. For more details call 406- 847-721-0665.

POLSON — “Birds of the Wetlands, Marshes, Potholes, Creeks and Rivers of the Mission Valley” by Pat Jamieson will be Mission Mountain Audubon’s evening program on Thursday, March 30, at 7 p.m. in the Polson Library meeting room. Everyone is welcome.

POLSON — “The Springtime of the Soul” is the theme for Lenten worship. Ash Wednesday and Lenten soup suppers and worship services led by Pastor David Rommeriem will be held each Wednesday, March 1-April 12, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 Fourth Ave. E. POLSON — From Feb. 28 - April 7, the Sandpiper Gallery in Polson will exhibit work from artists Terry Droll (oil painter), Ray Miller (photography), Sheri Nagy (pallet knife oils), and Shane Hughes (woodwork), for their art show “Everything Happens for a Reason.”

POLSON — MV Mariners Baseball Camp for Coaches and Players is April 2, 2017, from 12:30-3 p.m. at the Polson O’Malley Park. There’s no charge for coaches. Players’ cost is $45 and includes: instruction, T-shirt, lunch and admission to the next Mariners Game. After the Camp there will be a MV Mariners Blue and Green Scrimmage.
